Lyle Owerko

Awesome photography portfolio from Lyle Owerko. His description on the events of 9/11 that led to him shooting the cover image of Time Magazine are gripping, as are the poignant images he took that day.

NAM

Japanese graphic design collective NAM have some really cool and interesting design work displayed on their website.

New York Subway Diagram

Massimo Vignelli originally designed the New York subway map in 1972; Vignelli Associates were also responsible for the recent refreshment of the map... bringing up-to-date a design classic and retaining it's original magnificence. Executed perfectly.

Paper AK-47

Designer Martin Postler has investigated the history, aesthetics and the lethal seductiveness of the Kalashnikov. He has freed the AK-47 from it's terrible capacity to injure and kill by deconstructing it into a paper model construction set.

Google Typography

Australian Designer Rhett Dashwood created an alphabet using land formations found using Google Maps. All the letterforms can be found in the state of Victoria in Australia... Pretty cool.
